Mini Zoo Exhibits!!!!!

The past couple of weeks, second graders have been hard at work on our animal research project.  Students are working in pairs and they have used PebbleGo Animals to help them research information about an animal.  They have learned about the animal's habitat, appearance, food, babies, and interesting facts.

Using the information and knowledge they gained about their animal, students then planned a zoo exhibit they could build where their animal would live, survive, and flourish.

These past couple of days have been the days where we finally have built our mini zoo exhibits out of legos and everyone has done an amazing and fantastic job!!!!!!  Below are a few pictures of students in the process of working and then a few of some of our final zoo exhibits.  See if you can guess what animals would live where!!

Greek Mythology Creations

So this past week we have been wrapping up our Greek Mythology projects and we have had some left over time after the presentations so why not create some Greek Mythology creations out of legos with our time?

The results were amazing with students creating many of the creatures and items they learned about and then sharing their facts and information with their classmates.  I am going to be thinking on how to include legos more into Greek Mythology for next year!

Preschool Farming

So Preschool has been learning about farm animals and life on the farm the past couple of weeks so what better time to break out the legos and get imaginations going!

Students were provided with the instructions that they could create anything they could think of that had to do with farming.  That meant that if they wanted to create farm animals they could or if they wanted to build a tractor because they have always wanted to drive one that was perfectly fine.

The results were amazing as well as the sharing between students!!
